Completely volunteer-operated, each child is assigned a volunteer to provide a dedicated opportunity to shop from local department stores together

Supporting children in our local communities
Since 1992, our mission has always been to provide underprivileged children with clothing in the Hancock County, Ohio area. Our center of operations is in Findlay, Ohio which serves Hancock and surrounding Counties: Wood, Putnam, Hardin, Wyandot, and Seneca.

Clothe-a-Child of Ohio, Inc. began as a simple team building exercise at Marathon in 1992, where clothes were purchased for children of Open Arms Domestic Violence Center and Hope House during Christmas. This included ~60 children per year and the event remains active today.
Funding comes from individual and corporate donations (80%), plus fundraisers (20%). We attempt to raise roughly $125,000+ per year.
In 2001, Clothe-a-Child of Ohio, Inc. partnered with Findlay City Schools and to date have clothed over 4,000 children throughout the district.
We depend on a host of volunteers to make it happen every year. You can be proud of the integral role the Findlay City teachers, counselors, and administrators assume to make this effort happen every year. In 2022, FCS raised nearly $20,000 via Clothe-a-Child of Ohio, Inc. fundraisers.
We clothe between 400-500 children per year (471 in 2022) and an average of ~$250 per child. Since 1992, the organization has clothed nearly 6,000 underprivileged children in and around Hancock County.
100% of Clothe-a-Child of Ohio, Inc.’s funds go directly towards purchasing clothing for children. There are no administrative costs within Clothe-a-Child of Ohio, Inc.
